With this release, you’ll find some key elements that will factor into many of our new releases going forwards:
- Burn Playbook:
Our Momentum drop will feature a Burn Playbook in which fans can swap out old Moments to score fresh new Premium packs. Expect many future releases to feature similar mechanisms that let collectors earn new packs.
- Full Release of Editions:
The Momentum drop will feature all Moment editions to be created for the Move the Chains and Make the Stop sets in the 2023 Season - after this drop, no new plays or players will be added to these sets for this series. This is how we plan to approach our releases of many major sets for this series.
- Series 1 and 2 Set Utility:
As we roll out new renditions of these two popular sets, we're showing love to the Moments that came before them. Series 1 and 2 Moments from Move the Chains and Make the Stop will feature in our Burn Playbook, and holders of the sets from prior series will receive guaranteed purchase links for Premium packs - plus be entered to win a complete sets of the new 2023 releases.
THE SETS
With Uncommon Moments (1,500 mint count) from 1 player per team, each of these two new flagship sets are designed as fun collecting quests representative of the entire league and some of its most exciting playmakers.
New for the 2023 season, Uncommon Moments bridge the gap between our more exclusive Rare tier (mint counts of 300 per Moment) and the more accessible Common tier. Each player can receive a maximum of four Uncommon Moments during the 2023 regular season.
Move the Chains
- First down conversions are the foundations of a successful offense. These Moments capture those crucial plays that keep the chains moving and set the stage for scoring drives.
Make the Stop
- Powerful sacks, disrupting interceptions, and tackles that stop the offense in their tracks. This set captures those game-changing stops in all their glory.
SERIES 1 AND 2 SET UTILITY
As we roll out new renditions of these two popular sets, full of momentum-shifting plays on each side of the ball, we're showing love to the Moments that came before them.
Not only will Moments from the first two seasons of Move the Chains and Make the Stop prove helpful in earning new packs through our Burn Playbook, we're also giving a special nod to fans who've stocked up on these momentum-shifting plays on each side of the ball throughout Series 1 (2021) and Series 2 (2022).
We took a snapshot at 6:30 PM ET Tuesday, Oct. 24, of all collectors who held one of the following sets:
- Series 1 Move the Chains
- Series 2 Move the Chains
- Series 1 Make the Stop
- Series 2 Make the Stop
Each fan who held one will receive a guaranteed purchase link for a Premium pack on Thursday (expires Friday).
And each set holder will also be entered to win a complete set of the corresponding 2023 release (with one entry for each series held). A complete set features one Moment from each of the 32 editions, with serial numbers inserted randomly.
